Exhibition “Chiara Lubich City World”

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Chiara Lubich (1920-2008), founder of the Focolare Movement, a prominent Italian personality, well known and respected worldwide.

Several cities in which Chiara left a profound impact have expressed interest in centennial-related initiatives with a view to furthering dialogue between peoples and cultures. Among these is Jerusalem which will host the exhibition “Chiara Lubich City World” at the exhibition area of the Franciscans’ Curia of the Custody of the Holy Land (St. Saviour complex, New Gate) from February 29 to March 14, 2020.

The exhibition “Chiara Lubich City World”, curated by the Chiara Lubich Centre in collaboration with the Historical Museum Foundation in Trent, reproduces in adapted format the one currently on display in the Piedicastello Galleries in Trent (Italy). It traces the significant moments of Chiara’s life and work: an exhibition born not only from celebratory intent, but also from the desire to re-propose and address the content of Chiara’s charism today.

The inauguration is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 5:30 P.M.
